Throughout the year, the Center for Prevention of Abuse participates in and hosts a variety of special events and fundraisers. We invite you to mark your calendars, join us, and help us build a safe and peaceful community. All funds raised stay local and go directly toward client services.

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is hosting the 4th Annual I Run with Survivors 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk on Saturday, April 10th. All participants will receive a t-shirt and CFPA swag. We want you to join us wherever you are, so this year’s event is virtual! Registration is now open here.
CFPA wants all survivors – ones who have come forward to disclose and ones who keep their abuse private – to know that the community supports them, the Center for Prevention of Abuse supports them, and that they are believed.
Post a photo in your race shirt, tag us, and use #iRunwithSurvivorsAtHome to show how you support and believe survivors.
Services for sexual assault survivors are free and confidential at CFPA and the crisis hotline is available 24 hours a day at 1-800-559-SAFE (7233).
As part of CFPA’s human trafficking conference, Light 2021, CFPA will host a free virtual community night on May 11, offering education and basic information about human trafficking in our community, called “Human Trafficking 101.”
CFPA will cover the definition of human trafficking, red flags and indicators, top industries, survivors services, and how CFPA is playing an active role in combating and preventing trafficking locally. For more information and to register, click here.
CPFA is proud to host Light 2021: A Virtual Conference on Human Trafficking on May 12-13, 2021 as a virtual event.
