8/28, 32nd Annual Duck Race

Ducks are now on sale for CFPA’s 32nd Annual Duck Race! Adopt your duck today here and you’ll be entered to win $10,000 cash and 14 other prizes!

CFPA’s signature fundraiser, the Duck Race, is the longest running duck race in the country. Thanks to generous sponsors, 100% of the proceeds raised through this event go to support all of the free and confidential programs and services offered at CFPA to help all women, men, and children live free from violence and abuse.

Community members can sponsor a duck for $5 now or form a fundraising team now through Race Day.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s Duck Race has undergone important changes! Race Day has moved from Saturday, August 29 to Friday, August 28. In lieu of a formal gathering where patrons can watch 30,000 ducks race down a giant water slide, WMBD/WYZZ, Duck Race media sponsor, will announce the $10,000 grand prize winner live on-air during the 6 p.m. broadcast.  The Duck Race is essentially a giant raffle, so the first duck number pulled will win the grand prize sponsored by Associated Bank. Second prize is $5,000 cash and third prize is $1,000 cash and Away luggage. The prizes range from gift cards to electronics, kitchen appliances, local experience packages, and more.

All winners will be posted here on centerforpreventionofabuse.org on August 28, 2020.

For questions, please email Celsy at cyoung@centerforpreventionofabuse.org

Race Day logistics may continue to change due to COVID-19 and the recommendations of the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC. Stay tuned for final details.
