As defined by the state of Illinois’ Executive Order by Governor JB Pritzker, CFPA provides an essential service and will continue to operate and provide free and confidential services for survivors of abuse in the Greater Peoria Area amid COVID-19. The crisis hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-559-SAFE (7233).
We have made the following adjustments to our protocol and procedures to keep all staff and clients safe, as recommended by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC:
Emergency Safe Shelter
CPFA continues to assist individuals and their families fleeing violence or abuse in their homes with safe shelter through both our Peoria and Pekin shelters. All residents will receive virus screenings upon entry.
Orders of Protection
CFPA continues to provide assistance with Orders of Protection over the phone.

Therapy, Counseling, and Casework Services
CFPA has moved some therapy, counseling, and casework services to a telehealth model, reaching clients by phone conferencing. To schedule an appointment or to reach your therapist, counselor, or caseworker, call 309-691-551.
