Transitional Housing

NextStep Transitional Housing is an apartment complex in Peoria at the Center for Prevention of Abuse’s main campus. It is made up of 11 fully furnished apartments, efficiency to three bedrooms.

NextStep Transitional Housing was built to serve as a safe place for women and their children to stay while they made the transition away from an abusive relationship.

Residents must apply and may stay up to two years while they receive case management* and therapy. This program is fee-based on a sliding scale.

*case management focuses on safety planning, as well as assistance with employment, housing, transportation, legal assistance, criminal justice advocacy, education, medical and mental health, etc.
