Gifts made to The Center for Prevention of Abuse help survivors of violence and abuse in a variety of ways. Donations made to The Center's operational budget fund programs in five areas: domestic violence, sexual assault/abuse, elder abuse, violence prevention education and batterers' intervention.
All victim services are free. In order to serve the 15 new people who seek safety and support at The Center, community support is essential. On average, only 9% of The Center's budget comes from individual and corporate gifts.
Services that benefit from donations include all areas of programming including but not limited to: safe shelter, 24-hour hotline, hospital advocacy, court advocacy, crisis intervention counseling, support groups, children's services, therapeutic services, information and referral, elder abuse investigation, nursing home advocacy, money-management assistance, prevention education, professional training, family violence intervention and next step housing.
Your gifts support The Center's work To Build a Safe, Peaceful Community. Every dollar donated helps to carry out the many services provided by the agency including body safety programming for area students, medical advocates in area hospitals, and a safe place for families to come to after they have fled a violent home.Click on the links below learn more about donating to The Center for Prevention of Abuse.
