The Center’s outstanding employees and volunteers make us community, state and national experts in assisting people to empower themselves’ to end abuse through prevention and intervention services. By joining our team you will become a member of the only agency in the state of Illinois sanctioned to provide combined services for child and adult victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence, family violence intervention programs, prevention education, and adult protective services.

A background check including fingerprinting is conducted on new hires, interns, and volunteers. Interested in an internship? At The Center an intern is defined as a student in college who is required, as part of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a social service discipline or other related field, to complete a minimum of 200 hours of field work at a social service agency. Special approval is required for a commitment of less than 200 hours. Internships and associated mileage are unpaid. The application deadline for summer and fall internships is March 15th; the deadline for spring internships is October 15th.
